Info
Developed with the Untitled Game Jam team, later to become known as 'UntitledTeamSlime' - Goo Easy was created as part of a Game Jam competition in which, we had 1 week to create a game based off of the prompt 'That's a little too easy'.
The game is built around a single mechanic which causes the playable character, an escaped science experiment, to shrink in size, losing mass and therefore jump height the more you jump. Mass/Jump height can be gained back by picking up sthe slime you dropped while jumping or by eating fruit around the levels. It requires the player to manage their mass inorder to progress through the game, getting smaller to squeeze through tight spaces, and gaining / maintaining mass inorder to make a large jump.
This was the first game I'd worked on within a team, my first ever project being a 'Guitar Hero' rip-off for my own music that I programmed in C# for ALevel Computer Science.
I enjoyed this project and impressed the team with my ability. It definitely reinforced my decision that game audio was the career choice I wanted.
